Want to really get your hands dirty?
Animation and emancipation is on the menu!
These are not only similar words but also similar concepts, says Morten Thorning, Center Director of The Animation Workshop/VIA University College. In this session, we will show you how. We guarantee that not only will you become aware of your creative potential, you will also be able to express it through an animation of your own.

Set things in motion

As a warm up for the workshop a strong team of speakers will guide you around the inner philosophies of The Animation Workshop ton understand its spirit and effort in changing the world with a creative profession.

We invite you to join us where we will put motion into thoughts, people and processes by way of animation!

At The Animation Workshop, VIA University College, we find animation to be both an emancipatory expressive practice and a practice-based tool that enriches human creativity, cognition and communication processes. We are set out to visualise and communicate the hard-to-represent ideas and novel concepts that are otherwise difficult to represent and share with society.

Join our breakout session where professional educators from The Animated Learning Lab (ALL) will give you a hands-on workshop and help you bend complex ideas and concepts and disseminate them in new ways through stop-motion animation. If you think animation is for children and entertainment purposes only, you are so wrong!
Animation moves differently and we guarantee it will move you and your practice too.
